![]() ![]() In her free time if Jaci isn't dancing, she is spending time in the great outdoors with her husband Nick and son Jadyn. In 2019, Jaci moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and joined the Strarstruck family taking adult ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. Jaci is currently a Principal consultant at Educe Group, a technology consulting firm. There she continued dance until earning her MBA from Southern Illinois University and working full time on her career in HR Technology took all her time. ![]() After graduating college in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Missouri Jaci moved to St. In college Jaci continued to explore her love of dance by taking two semesters of ballroom dancing. In high school, Jaci was a member of the cheerleading squad and dance team, the Marshfield Jaywalkers. She started with tap and ballet, but soon added jazz, lyrical and clogging. Emily is excited for year 20!īorn in Springfield, Missouri, Miss Jaci began dancing at age three. Emily enjoys seeing her students succeed with self-confidence and sharing her love of dance with others in a positive learning environment. and spending time with family and friends. In her spare time when she is not dancing, Emily enjoys volunteering her time on the Milkworks board of directors, being a member of P.E.O. In September of 2003, she opened Starstruck Dance Academy. A dance teacher since the age of 15, Emily's dream was to open a dance studio of her own. She graduated with honors and highest distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2003 with a BFA in Dance. She has toured the country teaching dance conventions in California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. Emily has performed in Disneyland, Disney World, New York City and various other cities across the United States with an award winning dance troupe as well as with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dance Program. She has studied tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, modern, cheer and dance team. ![]() “The only way you get better is with a supportive group of people around you who help you stay grounded, help you do better, help you try harder, help you try in the right ways and help you do the things you are passionate about.Miss Emily is a native of Lincoln and has been dancing since the age of three. So, I still feel that a bit when I see him or I get messages or anything, but yeah, he was my biggest inspiration.” When asked if she’s ever spoken to Miller about how much of an influence he was on her now that she is further along in her career and he has retired from the sport, Shiffrin replied, “Oh, no, we have not talked about that specifically but I’ve said that he was my inspiration in about a billion interviews and then he’ll post something and then we’ll talk a bit, or we’ll see each other if he is out on the hill when I am training, he’ll come over and say ‘hi.’ But of all the people in the world, all the celebrities, Bode was that for me. ![]()
